Properties

Gaptin has anti-neuralgic action through inhibiting release of excitatory neurotransmitters like glutamate and correcting GABA down regulation as the main inhibitory neurotransmitters

Indications

Gaptin is effective in controlling neuropathic type of pain (e.g painful diabetic

Neuropathy , low back pain with radiculopathy, trigeminal neuralgia & post-herpetic

Neuralgia ).

-Gaptin an add-on antiepileptic treatment in patial seizures

And is also a mood stabilizer in bipolar disorder

Dosage

Gaptin has convenient & flexible dosing , allowing it to be prescribed at different

Strengths (100,300 or 400 mg capsules or gaptin oral solution ).
